Best part about my job: To be in close contact with turtles and their habitats, as well as with communities that rely on them.

The most unusual or exciting thing that’s happened to me while working in the field: Doing research at Gorgona National Park in the Colombian Pacific while humpback whales were jumping around me.

Turtle researcher / conservationist I most admire: Many, many colleagues and friends around the world deserve my recognition and admiration for the terrific work they are doing.

When I’m not working on turtles, I like to: Watch movies about Nature, read and relax with my family on a small farm in Colombia. I am also a SCUBA diver and love to spend time underwater
